Casting Epoxy Resin
Delivery time: 2-5 tööpäeva
This casting resin is used for creating wood castings and art projects. It is a widely used epoxy for creating river tables.
Compared to laminating resins its main benefit is the ability to pour a really thick (up to 5cm) layer because of its low thermal reaction. Colouring pigments can be added to tint the casting and it gets even more interesting when adding pearls, seashells and coins.
For creating even thicker castings the product can be poured as one thick layer or multiple separate layers. Once the previous layer has fully cured, it has to be sanded to properly adhere to the previous layer. The smartest way is to pour the next layer when the previous one is still tacky (do a tack test with a fingertip). This creates a strong bond without the need for sanding.
